Mammography is the use of low-dose x-rays (radiation) to make a picture of the tissue inside the breast. The resulting picture is called a mammogram.
Important Information:
- Testing available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and one Saturday per month.
- Appointments are made through the Radiology department.
- A written Physicians order is required at time of service.
- Patients are required to register prior to service
Special testing Requirements:
- Patients need to be instructed not to wear any lotions, powder or deodorant before examination.
- Radiology staff needs to be made aware if patient has breast implants as they require extra time for
completion of exam.
